#088 Grimer / #089 MukGrimer and Muk were designed to more clearly fit into the role of water pollution in the pollution trio composed of Muk (water), Weezing (air) and Garbodor (land). Both take cues from oil spills; Grimer has a six-pack ring on its back while Muk has enormous fatbergs.Both also include nods to obscure Pokédex entries: Muk has lost its nose because it smells too foul, so Grimer now has a nose.
