ninjakittenarmy: damnfandomproblems: Is it just me, or does anyone else think the whole “3D ANIMATION BAD” mentality is basically just the whole “DIGITAL ART ISN’T REAL ART” bs from a few years ago, only slightly repackaged. To an extent, yeah. 3D animation does genuinely have its merits that should not be ignored. The main issue is that studios have been phasing out 2D because 3D looks more realistic and high definition (relatively speaking, it still looks like a cartoon), when both media could easily coexist. It’d be like saying we don’t need comics anymore because we have cartoons. -- source link
