cerebralzero:thesportinggunblog:cerebralzero:thesportinggunblog:So it turns out that this rifle is chambered in a calibre listed as obsolete by the Home Office, allowing me to own (but not shoot) one without license. If I manage to acquire more funds, I’m sorely tempted to buy one as I may end up moving to the US anyway at some point, where I can load/produce my own ammunition and shoot it. I suspect some of the historically inclined Gunblrs will know what it is. They are actually pretty cheap in the US, the cartridges are really hard to find though. I am not certain how hard the bullets are to find for reloading, or if you would bet better off casting your own. They’re not too expensive over here either. I intend casting my own bullets, reshaping my own cases and maybe even look into converting it into centre fire. That’s awesome man, you should do it. I have always wanted to shoot one of these. A friend of mine has two but we have not found any cartridges for it. -- source link
