cosplayinamerica: I love Doctor Who and there is no other reasoning. It’s such a classic family show but even thought the show seems silly, it all makes sense. I think it’s the Doctor’s personality, he is such an explorer and I definitely share that sense of adventure and I had to make it one of costumes. I chose the TARDIS cause it is the most iconic part of his adventures. I actually bought the dress cause I don’t know how to sew. The hijab was custom made, I picked a print from Spoonflower and then had a friend hem the edges to make it into a hijab. People like the TARDIS and there are tons of TARDIS cosplayers. I don’t think anyone can ever have too many TARDIS and they definitely the hijab added to it. Cosplaying has made me more comfortable in being me. Although it is just one aspect of my life and one hobby, it has definitely increased confidence in other things I can do. It has made me more confident in my own thoughts and opinions, in some ways I can stand up and be me and just express myself whether in fandom or in a meeting with a client at work. If seeing a certain cosplay or cosplayer makes you happy, let them know. Just like we express our love for our favorite fan arts. I say this because cosplayers are also creatives that need feedback to create better bolder and also contributing their visions to the fandom. —- https://www.instagram.com/malihaness/ -- source link
