zanabism: OUTSIDER: 2016/2017 applications Outsider Magazine aims to provide a space for international writers, artists and pioneers of overlooked and persecuted identities. Recognizing the unconquerable strength and depth of lived experiences, OM is an outlet for creators facing marginalization for who they are. Our greater mission is to provide a safe, confidential venue for suppressed and persecuted creators deprived of their liberties and voice to convey their experiences to the greater international readership with immunity from retaliation and endangerment. We are currently seeking contributors for the magazine in the following capacity (click the links for full position descriptions, directions to apply): Writing Staff: covering informational, profile and opinion pieces pertaining to international, business, policy+politics, technology and art+culture affairs. Assistant Editors: editors for specific news/opinion categories to supplement the screening and publishing process. OUTCAST Team: hosts for OM’s scheduled podcasts. Graphic Design Coordinator: Principle coordinator for website graphics, including but not limited to, gifs, images, design and format. We strongly encourage writers and artists of marginalized sexual, racial, gender, religious, ethnic, and differently abled identities to apply.
