“Goodbye, Harry Potter,” Voldemort laughed. “Time’s up.”He could feel blood dripping into his eyes as if his scar had split open. The Ravens were circling over head cawing to him, telling him to focus telling him it was time. Time’s up – time to die. It was such a simple thing, such a simple secret – but the horror of what it would mean overwhelmed him. Based on one of my favorite fanfics of all time in ANY FANDOM EVER The Marriage Stone by Josephine Darcy. It’s primarily a SSHP fanfic but I have to say despite the slash elements (there’s Wolfstar too) I highly regard it as one of those damn well-written pieces of standalone fanfiction with excellent world-building THE SO GOOD THAT IT SHOULD BE PUBLISHED INTO A LEGIT NOVEL SORT The best part is the SSHP relationship is really slow burn and very believable so if you’re not strongly opposed to slash or Snarry I highly recommend giving it a try (Also I’ll have you know that I’m very VERY picky with my fanfiction ehue) Unfortunately the fanfic has been discontinued since 2008 (there are 77 chapters to date) There has been an author’s note posted in 2016 (Author was on radio silence for so long that people started thinking that she might have died heh) and there is some inkling of hope that the author might pick the fic back up again……HOWEVER it has been 2 years and still no new chapters oTL but I’m thankful we at least have some closure on the author’s hwhereabouts in the past decade and even if she is  (understandably) too busy with life or lost touch with her inner Potterhead I’m still grateful that she managed to put out 77 chapters  (੭ ˃̣̣̥ ㅂ˂̣̣̥)੭ु -- source link
