Ha I will say as someone who probably knows ore about Cap than any other superhero They do address this a LITTLE in some of the comics (though it’s more about him not being able to relate to the youths) but the explanation is made out to be that Cap is both1. So intuitive that he picked up on desegregation happening and not being a racist asshole really really quickly 2. He’s supposed to represent the American ideal, he’s the sum of what we as a country should strive to be Obviously he should have slipped up a bunch if they were going for realism (like he probably would have called an African American person something that was totally “harmless” back then but isn’t now) but it’s really just that he’s supposed to be the ideal America personified He’s supposed to be what we strive to be Like honestly he turned into a Werewolf for a few issues in the 90s that’s the biggest wtf for me -- source link
