Tumblr used to be one of the strongest voices for net neutrality, until Verizon bought them. With Verizon exec Ajit Pai now heading the FCC and destroying net neutrality rules in the US, it was only a matter of time until Tumblr had to be “fixed” to become a marketable asset in monopoly app stores like iTunes. With Tumblr removing all their NSFW content I figure what little following I had here will probably just disappear even if I make posts like this that don’t show nudity. Just like when Napster was shut down and returned as a “fixed” brand, I predict the audience here will splinter and dissolve over time.
