And if there’s one thing pirate families understand, it’s a good decades long feud with another family, has been feuding with the Young’s for decades, since her mother was a child. No one really remembers how the feud started, though it was probably over a stretch of contested territory, but the bad blood remains. After a brief fling between Iris and the Taylon Young a peace between the two families seemed within reach. But some feuds run too deep to overcome and Iris finds herself forced to flee when Taylon discovers she created an illegal AI. It doesn’t take long for Zerich to trap her.Now gun shy and hesitant to so much as daydream about living on her own terms she finds herself following Zerich’s every order, no matter how much she hates it. When his right hand man, a woman named Cat Iris has heard a hell of a lot about but never had much opportunity to connect with, takes her under wing she’s surprised to learn that his most trusted adviser isn’t all she’s been made out to be.
