skygatecreations: - Finally drew this strangely tricky bastard. - lol idk why but Kaiba’s always been one of, if not the, hardest characters for me to draw despite having one of my favorite anime outfits of all time. This is legit probably only the third serious attempt made at him since I was a kid. needless to say, once I got a handle on him this time, I drew the hell out of him. On the discrepancies between his shirt in the headshots (Transcend Game derivative, thus implied DSOD timeline) and his shirt in the full-bodies taken from two of those (regular during-series)…it’s laziness lol. no joke. after looking into how detailed the DSOD duel disk items are I just didn’t feel like wrestling with all that and reverted back to the ‘traditional’ model, which kind of made me have to roll back the outfit too. Maybe one day I’ll tackle it - minus the ridiculous shirt-physics breaking abs - but today is not that day.On the change in pants/boots layout, that’s a style choice. idk if those things are one piece in the actual design or if the pants are supposed to go over the boots but I didn’t like how either looked in my style, so changed that bit. -- source link
