kitty-stryker:I was at the Berkeley March4Trump counter protest action and wish to say East Bay Times completely misrepresented Pastel Bloc from what I saw. Video footage shows Pastel Bloc helping patch head wounds of comrades, including the black bloc, as well as tending to pepper spray victims. I saw members of black bloc ask to borrow shields from Pastel Bloc, and thank them for the use when returning them after. Pastel Bloc also ensured when I was tending to people that people didn’t snap photos of the injured faces. Their pastel colors worked as intended - from what I witnessed, they were not seen as threatening by cops or by Trump supporters, so were able to use being distracting to help protect injured antifas and help black bloc disappear. So please be aware that the media may have gotten it pretty opposite! <3 -- source link
