Jessie J has firmly established her softer and more feminine look with a cover shoot for Elle UK. Captioned, ‘The Fashion Reinvention’, Jessie dons high fashion garments from designers including Elie Saab, Jean Paul Gaultier and Giles and is hardly recognisable from the brash, fringed crotch-grabbing sequin covered caricature that she emerged on the pop scene as (thank god). Gracing Elle’s November cover - and shot by none other than Ian Rankin - in a stunning baroque body suit from Dolce and Gabanaa – she proves that her softer, more feminine side is who she’s become in recent years. ‘That really scary, spiky, cartoony kind of thing, that was me two or three years ago,’ she told Elle magazine. ‘Now, I’m definitely more embracing of myself as a woman and my sexuality and just being a bit more feminine.’ Whilst the singer and The Voice UK judge also confessed that her previous image was more to grab attention when emerging on the pop scene than who she was. Regardless, this more elegant and feminine side of Jessie J is definitely one which should stick around and with her new stylist Cobbie Yates at the helm – Jessie parted ways with former stylist Karl Willet back in August – there shouldn’t be an issue. Additional kudos goes to Elle UK for hyping up this cover – successfully making it one of the most anticipated covers of 2012. Their Twitter campaign peaked during the photoshoot with the #ELLEJessieJ hashtag trending in the UK as well as allowing fans to tweet their questions to Jessie, 10 of which will be answered in the upcoming issue. The November issue is on sale from Wednesday 3rd October 2012 – tweet me your thoughts @CassGowing! -- source link
