How to Wear Challenge – Autumn Edition: The Very Berry Trend A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Most Wanted, the lifestyle magazine from the UK’s #1 voucher site, VoucherCodes.co.uk inviting me to take part in their ‘How to Wear Challenge’. Armed with a budget of £80, I was set to conquer the A/W12 Berry Trend. With a choice of rich reds to more vibrant purple tones - the berry trend is one of the most accessible ways to ease your wardrobe into Autumn/Winter this season. I’m talking a palette of succulent raspberries, juicy plums and sumptuous burgundies - I’m salivating just thinking about it… Luxurious, opulent and definitively Autumnal, choose to embrace the trend whole-heartedly or mix it into your wardrobe with subtle berry accents. Look One – a deliciously dark tailored berry look. Forever 21’s woven raspberry shirt with curved collar detailing (£16.75), buttoned up and tucked into a lace embroiled skirt. Look Two - coolly casual with a warm woollen jumper. Topshop’s beautifully burgundy boucle jersey jumper (£26), bought two sizes larger to wear as a comfortable jumper-dress, teamed with thick black woollen tights and Primark’s berrilicous boots (£8). Look Three – (everyone knows the easiest way to wear a trend is through…) Accessories. H&M has an array of berry-toned accessorises to warm up any outfit, I opted for their belt with gold accents (£7.99), oversized bejewelled cocktail ring (£3.99) and large floppy hat with gold leaf detailing (£12.99). Wear with all black (as pictured) or with a monochrome outfit for ease. I completed the look with a cutesy sock-and-wedge combo thanks to Primark’s plum ankle socks (£2.50 for six).
