The contrast between the rainbow and the dark sky; the rain and the dry habitat; the smooth curve of the colorful rainbow vs the spikes of the sharp bright lightning; the shape of the cactus vs the lightning; the cactus in the foreground and the background near the end of the rainbow also created depth. The lightning lit up the clouds behind it which was beautiful and unique.
