xenoqueer: socialjusticeichigo: Found this on the Asexual ACES FB page and it seemed helpful since this can get confusing. A collection of 7 terms relating to how someone interacts with sexuality. The first 3 are directed at the concept of sex in general, and the last 4 are directed at the relationship between the self and sex. Sex Positive: TO have a positive attitude towards sex in general. Not necessarily for yourself, but for any safe sex between consenting people. Sex-neutral: To have no opinion on sex in general, neither positive nor negative. Sex-Negative: To have a negative attitude towards sex in general. To think sex is bad or wrong, even safe and between consenting people. Sex favourable: To have a positive attitude toward sex for yourself. To desire sex. Sex indifferent. To have no opinion on sex for yourself, neither positive nor negative. Sex averse: To have a negative attitude toward sex for yourself. To not desire sex. Sex repulsed: To be repulsed by the thought of sex. Also, despite the fact that this was posted by an Asexual FB group, I want to point out that these terms are relevant to non-aces too. -- source link
