My first time at the Pride parade was also the first time I got to walk around outside holding hands with my girlfriend! A put on a cute dress. We painted our nails and did our makeup together. We found our friends, grabbed some rainbow flags, and had fun. I’ve called A my girlfriend for a while now. Most of our good friends know that she’s transitioning. But this was the first time she was her true self in public. She was smiling all day. Pride has always felt like something for me to support as an ally. Now, it feels like something for me, too. These were my favorite signs from the parade! Maybe next year, we’ll be marching with them. -- source link
