mokoiiiiiii: chibitetsu: I’m assuming you’re talking about my tags here. Unfollow / block me if you need. Here’s a life hack for you on how to repost art without permission:1. Just don’tI feel like people just don’t consider how much time, effort, and emotions it takes to create art. No one is born with a stylus and tablet in their hands knowing how to draw. Line art, coloring, anatomy… all that is a pain in the ass to learn, and most artists have practiced drawing for YEARS in order to be as good as they are now. Even then, it can take hours or even days to complete something they are proud of.It takes 0 seconds to respect an artist and NOT repost their work.Yet, when an artist gets their artwork stolen, they end up getting bombarded with the things you said like “don’t post on the internet” and “don’t be sensitive”. I don’t understand what this is supposed to accomplish, like, do you WANT the artist to stop posting? Do you really want to be the person who chases the artist off of the internet?Just because something is on the internet doesn’t mean it’s okay to steal. You know why? BECAUSE STEALING IS STILL STEALING. Like holy shit someone explain this science. Enjoying their art is not an excuse to reprint their work. Express your appreciation by supporting them properly instead (Liking, retweeting, reblogging, bookmarking, etc.).Not knowing the language they speak is not an excuse. Some people write in English that they do not allow reposting. There are TEMPLATES out there to help ask for permission. Artists have the right to be angry when their artwork is stolen. I mean, it’s the most logical reaction?? I’m going to steal your pizza off of your plate one day and call you “sensitive” when you get angry about it to see how you like it.There are many reasons why artists post online, but it is NOT because they want to artwork to be reposted and then get told off. Unless you have direct written permission, if the artist doesn’t want their artwork reproduced even with credits, it’s still considered stealing. And when an artist is upset that you stole something of theirs, it’s not them being sensitive, it’s you being rude and inconsiderate. -- source link
