みんなー久しぶり!!Long time no original post!Hey guys, I’m finally done with all my exams in this 4th semester. I passed my Japanese exams too which means my year in Japan is finally secured in that regard (I would’ve had to cancel had I failed). I’ll be finishing my first bujo with a packing list, so I finally get to starting my new one specifically for Japan. Don’t forget to follow my instagram to follow along on the journey! I have the first two spreads done so I thought I’d share. Read on if you’re interesed in the thoughts behind it. Do you keep your own journal in another language? If you know of any blogs, instagrams or any other sources concerning keeping a journal in a different language, please recommend them! <3My new bujo is a made-in-Germany Nuuna notebook with a silver-ish cover and ‘idea’ written on it in pink Japanese. The sides of the pages are lined in silver as well, it has 176 dotted pages though it’s not a true A5 size or even the size of a LT’97. It’s a bit more on the square-ish side. The plan is to not use it as a language journal per se but just a regular bujo, a planner for the week, important dates, trackers, stuff like that; only difference being that it’s going to be in Japanese as much as I can manage! My first spread is a “first impressions” (第一印象) spread. The idea is just to write down a couple of my thoughts for each event. Departure from home, arrival in Japan, the placement test I’ll have to take & the orientation courses. I used my Sakura Pigma Micron in 005 to draw the kanji and the doodles & then I used regular colored pencils to fill them in. The second spread is basically like a double-page month-at-a-glance/important dates spread, just that I called it “Important plans” (重要な予定) and wrote “October” (十月) in the middle. I took inspiration from Caitlin’s July Plan With me (check out Caitlin, she’s great!!) for the design. My first weekly spread is probably going to start with the first day of the semester in Japan which will be September 30th.That’s it so far! I’m super excited to get into this & I’ll try my best to keep it all in Japanese. Let me know if you have any tips or tricks, or if there’s any helpful blogs or other sources you’d like to share! All posts concerning this new bujo will be under the ‘my jpn bujo’ tag. -- source link
