Fabric architecture is something that I didn’t read enough into. With the constant concept of having fabric blowing inside a structure, fabric architecture is actually allowing me to look at all these forms that I have created with my experiments, and construct a space that has fluidity to its structure. These pictures show my research, as well as some sketch models that I made along the way. Fabric architecture had a lot of information to offer. Structures like canopies, or a complete structure, made of tensile fabric, fabrics like polyester, with a steel support. It made me think about wires, and wrapping fabric around this structure. Although when wrapping the fabric, the support underneath seemed to be very obvious, and I lost the fluidity. Thus, I looked more into inflatable structures, structures that have a certain air to them. They blow up and create a serene atmosphere within. Consisting of wires, and parachute like material, it allows a form to be free… -- source link
