Could never settle in one time or place.What we love about Hartnell is that despite his age and not being such a sprightly and energetic Doctor, he shows all his adventure and excitement in his eyes. Just because he’s not running about doesn’t mean he’s not enjoying himself and not thinking of plans.The Doctor loves to explore and learn about new places, and that’s always been at the heart of his character. The First Doctor might have the ageing body, so instead of running around and seeing the action, he watches the action unfold around him and takes it all in. He’s very much an observer, an inventor, and explorer. He’s so interesting to watch. And you have the time to watch him which is great! -- source link
