Docks seemed to reach outforever, stretching to hold onto their legs before they stepped any further. the Ocean was a pure uncontrollable nature… and as their footsteps muffled they came once again to the loading dock they had been circling all morning. Dawn didn’t want to driftany deeper nor did the blanket of fog; however, time insisted. Relaxing from their deep and natural hold, the lovers looked ateach other’s worn out faces, chalk-full of stories and emotion…she slipped the boy a petite Webster’s dictionary… their appreciationfor its words sank deeper than the most ferocious wave.His boots creaked on the metal as he treaded up the mighty vessel, there was no reason to look back… no reason to see their faces shareanother mutual look. the ocean showed no promise for his return nor againstit, and they felt that. the horns bellowed out again as heavy ropes were unknotted and pulled aboard. Rough hands, soft eyes and quiet breath came over all the sailors aboard… men yelling distant commands,laughing aimlessly to share their passion with the salt in the air.
