Time flies, man.There have been a few bumps down the road, that’s for sure, but one can’t deny that it’s been one Hell of a ride. The best part of all of this is that we’re just a few miles away from celebrating the 25th anniversary, and things are definitely looking up!As a nobody who has been part of the trip for more than 8 years, I would like to thank each and every single member of this community who has contributed to this fantastic ride by adding that fuel that couldn’t be possible to add without the great minds that predicted the massive success that a videogame made by gaming modders and built for gaming modders in mind would have in the future.Let there be more demons to kill for the next 24 years! Happy Birthday, DOOM! I also want to thank the Doom community for being the best video game community of all time and keeping the fires of DOOM burning after all these years. There is no other joy like knowing you’ll never run out of stuff to play and enjoy for your favorite video game of all time. It’s thanks to the modders and mappers that DOOM is a gateway into countless, enjoyable worlds to explore. Although I could never do it full justice, I can only hope that I’ve done a decent enough job exposing new people to the magnificence of the DOOM community and it’s wellspring of creative wads to savor. This blog, since the beginning, was always my love letter/shrine to DOOM and it’s kickass community. There’s no other gaming community more deserving of praise and admiration than it.
