i-kool-kat: pag-asaharibon: Just because someone has a Filipino sun and stars in their “TRIBAL” tattoo does not mean the rest of the designs are authentic Filipino. There is a LOT of misinformation about what are Filipino tattoos. I wrote “Filipino Tattoos Ancient to Modern” to help our people recognize what designs are FROM our islands, what designs we SHARE with others and what designs are NOT ours. It pains me when I see our people wearing Hawaiian, Samoan, Maori and other designs thinking they are authentic Filipino batek/batok/tatak.
