cosplay-sos: A rough map of Divisoria and the areas with good finds. Hooray for google maps! I’ll start off with this basic post so people won’t have to ask where is where. Also added basic info about the location. A - Recto Avenue overpass This is where MOST jeepneys drop off passengers before they U-turn. How to get here: Just ride any Jeepney bound Divisoria that WILL pass through Recto Avenue. Otherwise, you might end up in a different location. B - 999 Mall (New) One of the most recent buildings made there, it’s color green and you can’t miss it. Most items there are RTW clothes. Not much good find, but the aircon there is <3 LOL. This is where I usually pass through to get to 168 or the old 999 mall. C - Tutuban Mall Composed of the Prime Block and Annex. Most items here are more expensive than those located in 168 and 999. But there are a few shops that sell fabrics here. D - 999 mall (old) There’s a lot of good finds here. Plus the very delicious Lumpia at Gflr, left-est entrance near the escalator. LOL E - 168 mall Composed of the old mall (nearer to 999) and the newer one beside it. There’s a lot of anime-related merchandises such as nendos and figmas there. F - City Place Square Not much here, but it’s a good landmark since the 168 mall building beside it have a lot of finds, namely the very updated shop of anime posters. G - Lucky Chinatown Mall (Called LCM by a lot) It’s a new building, and it’s really a mall, IYKWIM. Not much on the mall itself, but the annex has quite a good variety of raw items for prop production. H - Ascarraga Market It’s across Taborra street, it’s one of my most favorite places to buy fabric in. Katrina costs around 35pesos and Peach Twill around 60 pesos. Best thing about it is, it’s a whole establishment full of fabrics, so you really have much to choose from. Juan Luna St The street is VERY VERY long, items sold on this street includes, Leatherette fabric, Upholstery, Rubber sheets. Ilaya St. Contains mostly RTW clothes that are really low priced. Tabora St. Contains mostly raw materials for costume making and props making such as hats, masks, shoe glues, some fabrics like Geena, Katrina, also Tulle for petticoats at a very fair price. Though, people here are naturally short-tempered and are not really nice to people who look money-less. Between Tabora and Ilaya is an establishment full of fabric at a very cheap price as well. -- source link
