It also doesn’t tell you anything about what they think about other people having sex! There are a lot of words that are used to describe people’s attitudes towards sex. Sex-repulsed, averse, indifferent, and favorable are all used within the ace community to describe one’s own feelings about personally engaging in sex or sexual situations. These words can be very fluid—some people may use one word to describe themselves in one situation, and a different one in another. Sex-positive, neutral, and negative are words used beyond just the ace community that communicate a person’s political leanings when it comes to sex. In short, they describe how people feel about other people having sex.
