WRITER FETISHM°BA 13 is thankful to Laura Albert for being part of this weekend’s ASVOFF ‘FETISH’ Competition Jury, along with Li Edelkoort and Erwin Olaf. Laura has won international acclaim with her fiction. Writing as JT LeRoy, she is the author of the best-selling novels 'Sarah' and 'The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things’, and the novella 'Harold’s End’, published by Last Gasp with illustrations by Cherry Hood. In this extract from an interview for ZOO Magazine, acclaimed photographer Steven Klein reveals his fetish for Laura Albert…What is it that attracts you to her exactly?SK: She’s a brilliant writer, she’s very vulnerable. She has this mind that can explore so many different places. She’s spiritual and she's honest and she’s stimulating. Laura’s also a little bit dangerous and that interests me.She used to write under the name Terminator. Does her dark side attract you?SK: Yes. She’s this smart woman who just holds nothing back. That can be dangerous but I think dangerous in a very good way.
