DURAN LANTINK For the black collection, young designer Duran Lantink tried to use many techniques and fabrics to symbolize the different layers of society. Confrontational slogans such as “I’ll suck your dick!” on the front of a piece “ Lick my clit” on the back remind us that nothing comes for free in this world. The logo Lantink made for the underwear collection says “Fist Fucking God’s Planet” and refers to all the big egos in this world who are at each others throat and fueling our ongoing craving for more, more and more. We are all laughing while fucking up this planet. To emphasize this, Lantink created a 3D shoe which portrays this big ego world where people need other people to get higher and higher. This transparent shoe is printed in acryl, the same material of fake nails; a manic stacking of mad sculptures and religious artifacts, as these myths and gods were once the pop stars of our history. The shoe, along with 90 other elevated feats, can be seen in the ELEVATION exhibition curated by Marijke Bruggink & Marlie Witteveen on the 3rd floor of M°BA CENTRAAL, Kortestraat 16, Arnhem. -- source link
