He is brilliantand driven and also the biggest dork in the world who builds surgicalrobots in his spare time.- Eliot Spencer, the cranky head nurse.A former soldier who runs the hospital with an iron fist andreluctantly takes the two newbie interns under his wing. (And thenfalls in love with them, obviously.) Always brings baked goods towork, but people are only allowed to have some if theyhaven’t pissed him or any of his nurses off that day.- Sophie Devereaux, the eccentric psych attending whothinks everyone should be in touch with their emotions and deal withthe stress of the job in constructive ways not looking at anyone inparticular Nate. Secretly dreams of having her owndaytime talkshow where she helps people with their personal problemsand they take her advice because when you’re on TV people actuallylisten to you.- Nate Ford, Chief of Surgery, whohates everyone and wants to spend all his time drunk in his officebut kind of gets a pass because he is a genius neurosurgeon whocouldn’t save his own son’s life blah blah manpain etc.- Maggie Collins, formerly Maggie Ford,the lovely heart surgeon who is BFFs with Sophie and becomes Parker’smentor. Is the only one in the hospital who takes precisely zero ofNate’s crap.- Sterling is the creepy janitor Nate’s nemesis, a rivalneurosurgeon who thinks he should be chief instead of Nate. Alwaysshowing up and ruining everyone’s fun, and everyone hates him, exceptMaggie. Is secretly terrified of Head Nurse Spencer. For good reason.- Basically everyone is terrified ofHead Nurse Spencer. Except Parker and Hardison, who luff him.- So Hardison moves in with Eliot whenhe’s looking for a new roommate, and then later on they find outParker has been sleeping in the abandoned MRI machine in the basement(or sometimes in the closet in Nate’s office when he’s out playing golf)so she moves in with them, too.- Hardison/Parker/Eliot sort out theirrelationship with relative ease and end up in a happy, committed,polyamorous triad because they are the actual mature adults in thehospital. Meanwhile, the Nate/Sophie/Maggie/Sterling romantic dramadrags on for years. -- source link
