The barrel on a Tigr is much shorter than that of an SVD. It also lacks the adjustable gas system and flash hider. Furniture is also sporterized; the handguards are not ventilated and the thumbhole stock lacks the cheek rest and various cutouts. Converting a Tigr back into an in-spec SVD is a very difficult and expensive undertaking. (GRH) They’re also built to better specs than the SVD and as a result are more accurate.
