candyhousebimbos: beautybeforebrains: A lot of girls tell me that they’re trying to be dumber, or that they want tips on how to dumb down. This is wrong. Not that it’s bad for an intelligent girl to want to be more like her more attractive, less intelligent sisters - that’s absolutely a good thing to do. I just think that’s the wrong approach to take. Personally, I don’t really believe that “dumbing down” is a thing that really exists. You might train yourself to act less intelligent, but you won’t be any more dumb. You’ll just be a smart girl acting dumb. You can turn that off any time, and the fact that it’s just an act isn’t as attractive as a girl that’s legitimately dumb. So if you’re smart and want to be dumber, just be honest. You’re not going to get dumber, you’re just going to act dumber. So if you’re smart are you just doomed? No, not at all. Something I’ve written a lot about in past is that all people (and especially girls) tend to dramatically over-estimate their own intelligence. If you think you’re smart then chances are you’re just average at best. If you think you’re average then you’re probably stupid. What you should be doing, if you want to be more like the better, dumber girls, is to start really looking at yourself and your own life and try to understand that you’re not actually that smart to begin with. You’re already dumb, you’re just over-confident in your intelligence. You should second guess yourself, ask for help faster, and be more willing to say “I can’t” and “I don’t know.” Do these things more and you’ll find yourself more comfortable in your own life because you and the people around you will finally see you as the girl you are - a dummy - rather than the smart girl you’ve been pretending to be.
