killerfiend: The sad case of the Annandale Jane Doe. On December 18, 1996, the body of a woman was found at the Pleasant Valley Memorial Park Cemetery. To be precise, she was in the children section of the cemetery. The woman was laying on a plastic sheet with an 8 inch Christmas tree next to her. The woman was estimated to be between 50 to 70 years old. She was 5’0 tall and weighed 157 lbs. The woman had red, curly hair. Presumably, the woman had taken her own life by suffocation. There was a plastic bag taped around her head. When the bag was removed, they found the woman wearing headphones, listening to several comedians through a portable cassette player. One other weird item was found to have belonged to her. A Minnie Mouse children’s fanny pack. The fanny pack seemed to be well worn out. In her autopsy it was found that the woman prior to her death consumed Brandy and Valium. Also in the autopsy, a scar on her abdomen was found, seemingly from a C-section. The woman had left some notes and two $50 dollar bills. In one of her notes she wrote: ‘’Deceased by own hand… prefer no autopsy. Please order cremation with funds provided. Thank you, Jane Doe.’’ The funds in question were the two $50 dollar bills. After well over 20 years, still nobody knows who this woman was and why she commited suicide near a children’s cemetery. May she rest in peace. -- source link
