celestialmiracle:Bill Weasley, although not given enough credit in all the eight parts of Harry Potter movies, is one of the most remarkable inventions of J. K. Rowling. Appearing to be a truly wonderful eldest brother with his friendship with Charlie Weasley, a fun loving person considering the table-fight he and Charlie arranged and a responsible person without being boastful like Percy Weasley, I truly resented his absence from the movie Harry Potter: The Goblet of Fire. He was considered “cool” due to his appearance and the casual way he carried himself despite being on a higher level than his younger brothers. Then again, in The Half-Blood Prince, his seriousness regarding different security and Order of Pheonix matters, his soft and playful nature and later, his presence at Hogwarts during the entry of Death Eaters and his his struggle with Fenrir Greyback was most unfairly ignored in the movie. But the most infuriating was the deduction of his various thoughtful gestures in Deathly Hallows. Where he proved to be a trusting person by not forcing Harry to confide with his plan and turned out to be very keen and observant to be the one of the two to notice Griphook’s absence when Lupin gave the news of the birth of his son, he also turned out to be the most caring and reliable person for giving Harry clues of consequences of treachery from or with Griphook. Unlike many, he did not question Harry’s insistence of not letting anyone know about his mission and completely understood his need of privacy. He was the only one who, according to Ron, has “always been decent” to him. He didn’t gave Ron a hard time about leaving Harry which reflects the sensitivity he showed for his youngest and most-ignored brother. In quite a few ways he was a bit like Albus Dumbledore, letting people choose their own path and not prying for knowledge they didn’t want to share. Here’s a tribute to one of the best big brother in literature ever, Bill Weasley! -- source link
