Garden of Ningshou Palace in the Forbidden City, the secret garden of Emperor Qianlong in Qing dynasty. He used to travel to lands to the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, including the southern part of the Yangtze Delta. He was attracted to the so called Jiangnan style in that area. After he came back to Beijing, he decided to build Garden of Ningshou Palace, a delicate reflection of Jiangnan style. -- source link
