they-hide-in-the-dark: Lagahoo -A werewolf creature from the Caribbean, the Lagahoo is different from most werewolves in that it is not restricted to just the form of a wolf or by the full moon. A Lagahoo is a normal human by day but at night they can take a variety of forms. The most common of which is that of a man with no head who roams the night with a wooden coffin on its back. On top of the coffin are three candles and it has a loose iron chain that it wrapped around its waist and trails along behind it. It can also take the form of a wolf, horse, pig, goat, a wolf-like creature that walks on two legs or a centaur creature. The one give away, other than being a headless person sometimes, is that one of its limbs is always turned backward. The Lagahoo is a blood drinker but it is not particular about its food source. If it does not want to feed on humans or if there are no people around it will make do with animals and livestock, especially cows and goats. It is believed that if a Lagahoo follows you it will force you to loose your way. To kill a Lagahoo you must beat the creature with a stick that has been anointed with holy water and oil for nine days. Beating the creature will force it to transform into other animals, such as a snarling dogs and a wild bull, but it will eventually disappear into a mist. -- source link
