harrypotterconfessions: Anon, please. I have to admit, I kind of live for the Snape discourse, because I appreciate both sides of the argument. But, after so long, I’d really love to get a definitive answer, or at least Rowling’s own interpretation. I’d really like it if, maybe for an anniversary, she wrote a non-canon scene where Snape survived the BOH, and had to go to trial for his actions during the war. Then the man himself could answer the accusations against him and try to justify them, without either Voldemort or Dumbledore pressuring him one way or the other. Not the unvarnished truth, but as close as possible with a character like Snape. -- source link
