chiisai-fukurou: A very comfortable and nice café in Nagoya (^-^)The name of the café is 庭園ギャラリー いち倫 :)I think you can also eat lunch or dinner in this place but I only ate some ice cream and drank some tea there :)The garden ist quite nice and enjoyable to see :)There are a lot of trinkets around the café. It also featured a lot of creative things like the table made from 4 old brass pots, an old sliding door and a glass pane :)An interesting detail above the entrance was the Ranma (transom :) made from split bamboo pieces alternating between the in- and the outside of the bamboo :) This is a very Wabi Sabi or Wabi Suki element :3The Matcha ice cream was super delicious and the stuff on it was warm Anko cream (red bean cram :3 It was super delicious :3The cool ice with the warm Anko was great to eat while taking in the view of the garden and somehow felt so harmonic and enjoyable in a way I’ve only experienced in Japan :3To me as a (hobbyist :) woodworker the transom within the house was also quite interesting. The cut out transom was wonderfully delicate and nice to see while the Kumiko transom had a nice aged and light look to it :)I was also happy to see a cat shaped incense burner (katorisenko :) :DThere are so many creatively shaped Katorisenko :3Like a steam locomotive, cats, snails, just pretty shapes, etc. :3While I didn’t have a valentine last week I still spent a very nice weekend and week :)I made waffles for my friends and had a great time making some friends and spending time practicing Japanese (*^-^*)Also I got told I have a Scandinavian accent while I’m speaking English. This was a first to me :D So far people asked me if I was French, Russian, British or Japanese (he saw me I don’t look Asian at all I just have very Japanesey hobbies (^-^;)I also ate Udon with some friends :3 <=I like Udon quite a lot :3My spoken Japanese is okayish (I often get praised for my pronunciation :) but my written Japanese is soso and my level is still quite low :|I know a lot of unusual Kanji though like 茶の湯、茶道、茶杓、茶筅、茶巾、器据、茶巾筒、鋸、鉋、etc. but I know few everyday Kanji (^-^;)Anyway I hope to improve my Japanese soon :)I wish everyone a great weekend with lots of nice experiences and sweet dreams (^-^)/ -- source link
