Honey Birdette ‘Natalie’ Suspender SetA sheer, unlined, underwire bra is my favorite style. In accordance with my personal preferences, it offers support, but none of the extra bulk that comes with padding or even moulded cups. ‘Natalie’ is a balconette style and her support (in addition to the underwire) comes from vertically boned cups. This also gives an ‘upwards’ cleavage/lift without extra size. I find the bra comfy and supportive, even with the thin shoulder straps, but I’ve heard some in larger cup sizes find the boning can bend to a more ‘square’ shape, but it’s not an issue I’ve encountered as a 10D. The suspender- always the best in HB styles- is simple, sturdy and the lace applique and embroidery detail is used to best effect here, the edging in my particular. Even though it’s a relatively narrow belt, it holds the HB cuban heel stockings in place. For once, I actually preferred and chose to go with the thong option, as it seemed daintier compared to the brief and the hip straps matched the shoulder straps. The trim (as with the bras boning casing) throughout ‘Natalie’ is a faux leather and the fabric is a sheer mesh. I like this textural juxtaposition of hard and soft, it makes the set both delicate and strong- an often hard mix to nail. This is the sort of timeless, classic black set I always recommend for partners buying their ladies gifts, as it’s pretty safe and hard to go wrong with, and also for those wanting to branch out from Bonds and take their first steps into lingerie.‘Natalie’ by Honey Birdette is HERE -- source link
