lokilover9: fluturojdallandyshia: Thor: The Dark World (2013) This statement has always relayed to me that deep inside, Odin secretly resented Loki. Odin hoped he’d become what Odin wanted. A tool to bring peace between Jotunheim and Asgard. Laufey never died until after Loki learned of his true heritage. He’d left Loki to die, alone. Did Odin ever think, had Loki not killed Laufey by the time Odins true intentions for Loki were revealed to him, that once Laufey learned his identity, of what Lokis fate would’ve been? Laufey would’ve thought Odin intended Loki to replace him on Jotenheims throne, so Odin could control both realms. Laufey was warped that way and would’ve either murdered Loki, or taken him prisoner, before ever allowing that to happen. Odin wasn’t stupid. He knew this. And even after Loki murdered his own flesh and blood, to win Odins approval, he’s still told this? It doesn’t matter if a child is adopted or not. If you ever truly loved them, you would not say such a thing. Those words are for a despised enemy, only. That’s why when he claims to love ‘both’ his sons in Ragnarock, I thought it a load of crap and saw no closure for Loki, ever. -- source link
