Not in saying Silicon Valley is a major tax-evader, that’s entirely correct, but in separating Silicon Valley from Wall Street. Silicon Valley isn’t just the home of tech companies and startups; it’s also the home of venture capital, that branch of the financial industry(“Wall Street”) which FUNDS start-ups and tech companies during the high-cost, low-revenue years when they’re building infrastructure and capacity to bring a product/service to market. Silicon Valley is not a “new” Wall Street; it’s Wall Street West, and it has been almost from the beginning. -- source link
