Tuesday was my Hebrew birthday (and also the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s ) and my favourite Jewish birthday custom is that on your birthday, you have special bracha-giving powers! I find it so special, because it allows you to turn your focus to others, on a day that the secular world has made all about you. I’m a little late to the game (pre-Pesach is a hectic time for a birthday!) but luckily for me (and you ;) these bracha powers extend for the entire birthday week (ie 3️⃣ days before and 3️⃣ days after) so it isn’t too late to give some brachos!!! May you find success, meaning and fulfillment in all your endeavors. May those of you who are single find your other halves in the right time and the entire process should be smooth and pleasant. May those who are married (and everyone for when they get there) have shalom bayis and supportive, healthy and fulfilling relationships with your spouses. May you begin and/or expand your families easily and in the right time (and not until you want/are ready to ;) and may you have uncomplicated, healthy and pleasant pregnancies, births and postpartums. May those of you with children have loads of nachas from them and they should eat, grow, behave and sleep(!!!) well. Everything from Hashem is good, but sometimes that good is concealed. May you only have revealed good in your life and may you always have the clarity to see some good in everything that comes your way. May you have the clarity to know what you want and need and the strength and mazal to reach for and achieve it. May you and your loved ones have physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and may you have hatzlacha, mazal and parnassa! And may you have a Pesach Sameach v’Kasher! (And don’t let it be so kosher that it’s no longer joyful!) -- source link
