peterbuggert: A cisgender woman gets escorted out of the women’s bathroom by two policeman because she was wearing “masculine” clothing and didn’t have an ID to prove she was female and complying with the law. The policemen call her sir and refuse to let her simply go to the bathroom until she can prove she is truely female. This backfire of transphobic legislation only shows that bathroom bills are not meant to protect anyone. They are meant to punish anyone who does not fit strictly within their deffinition of a man or a woman often leading to sexist generalizations and assumptions to judge who may or may not be “really” a woman. -- source link
