If a black person shot someone, in the minds of some people ALL black people are violent. If an attack referred to as a terrorist attack is committed by a Muslim, ALL Muslim people are terrorists. If a white/Caucasian person did it, THEY are violent. They immediately get the “lone wolf” treatment and as a result, as far as society is concerned, their actions are their own, not due to their race. You might be reading this and thinking “well I don’t see it that way, why would I blame everyone in a group for a crime one committed?” and if not, good for you, but we both know that these attitudes ARE an issue.
