Whoever made this is an idiot Um, “alright” is not always two words. https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/all-right-or-alright-which-is-correct if you’re pedantic it sure as hell is But the beautiful thing about language is that it evolves. “Alright” is an acceptable way to spell the term in present day—just like “yes sir” turned into “yessir” for a time in the early-to-mid 20th century. Saying “all right is always two words” simply isn’t true anymore, and it’s unfair of you to include that note in your name-calling. Yes? It is true that language evolves but it is also true that grammar while at times fluid and stylistic and arguably a means by which the rich oppress the poor depending on who you ask is also an integral component of language’s ability to convey meaning. Spelling and pronunciation change over time and sometimes you just have to pick your battles. Sometimes pedantic people pick losing battles. Some battles that I pick are: literally does not mean figuratively to peruse actually means to read or look closely all right is two words I’ll agree with you wholeheartedly on the first; I hate when people say “literally” when their follow-up isn’t actually literal. If you consider yourself to be so pedantic, then surely you must use the Oxford comma as well? Obviously, I’m not an animal *Looks on in disgust* Alright. -- source link
