The North American Arms Companion mini revolver,From the maker of the famous .22 mini revolver, the North American Arms Companion is identical to the NAA mini revolver, except that it is a blackpowder cap and ball revolver. Unlike the NAA mini, which fires .22 long rifle/magnum rimfire ammunition, the Companion is a black powder muzzleloader. Thus each chamber of the cylinder must be loaded by hand with loose powder and a bullet. Perhaps the smallest cap and ball revolver on the market, the NAA Companion is the invention of Dick Casull, former owner of Casull Arms (now Freedom Arms), known for producing large game hunting revolvers as well as weird and bizarre pocket pistols. As a muzzleloader, the Companion does not have a bored out cylinder, but five nipples on which to place percussion caps. The pistol comes with a special kit that includes a powder measure, bullet seater, a supply of .22 caliber bullets, and a “replica Civil War leather mini holster”. I am a proud owner of an NAA mini revolver, but I have no plans to buy the cap and ball version. -- source link
