nursery things. (i posted some of these on instagram yesterday so if you’re rolling your eyes at me right now - sorry! i am pretty much all baby all the time right now. but i love looking at other people’s decor, so indulge me…)the mermaid print hanging above the dresser was the very first thing we bought for baby girl’s room, and i used it to inspire the rest of the colors in her room - silvery blues and greens, white, and blush and metallics as accents. i wanted a room that felt feminine without being over-the-top girly, and i am really happy with how everything came together. i keep wandering into her room during the day, rearranging things and sitting in the glider just to think about when she’ll get here, and what she’ll be like - what we’ll all be like. i know we’re in for a huge life change, and while part of me is a little apprehensive, most of me is beyond excited. i just want to meet our girl!in case you are planning your own tiny room: the crib is from IKEA, the dresser and bookshelf are from megmade here in chicago (they buy and refurbish vintage furniture, and we got to customize these pieces), the linens are from land of nod, the rug is from dot & bo, the glider is from west elm (and will eventually move out to the living room), the pouf is from target, and the baby animals (which hang above the crib) are from the animal print shop. and yes, the baby has nicer things than we do. also, that drawer full of tiny clothes just kills me every time. -- source link
