The Chicago Palm Protector.Originally a French design, the patent was bought by the Minneapolis firearms company, and later the Chicago Firearms Company in 1883. Unlike most guns, this pistol was held in the palm, with the barrel protruding between the index and middle finger, and discharged when it was squeezed. It held 7 .32 cal rimfire cartridges in a 7 shot revolving magazine, and when it was squeezed the gun would fire and rotate the magazine. Around 13,000 of these little palm pistols were manufactured. -- source link
