You’d barely known your father, John, as a child. You were the youngest of the Winchester siblings and so you never really got to see your Dad as a parent, just someone who tought you to hunt. You loved your Dad, but not in the same way you loved your brothers, especially Dean. Dean practically raised you and Sam.Even though you were older now, there were still those moments where Dean would make you some food, or patch you up after a particularly rough hunt, and you’d it would feel like you and Sam were under 10 years old, both scrambling about in the motel rooms while Dean made sure you were both okay…or chasing you around to get you to sit still.This hunt was pretty easy, just a regular salt and burn, but it was freezing out and so you’d come back shivering with numb fingers. You’d immediately curled up on the sofa to try and get warm by the fire, not to mention how exhausted you were from all the non-stop hunts lately. Dean draped a blanket over you, ruffling your hair. “You know what’ll warm you up? Some soup.” He chuckled, turning to head off to the kitchen to heat some up for you.“Thanks, Dad.” You sleepily mumbled, taking a moment to realise what you’d said. Your eyes went wide as you sunk into the chair, pulling the blanket up over your face and peering over the top.“Did-” Dean stuttered, turning back around to see your awkward eyes looking up him, “did you just call me Dad?”“No!” you sunk lower and sighed, “yeah. Okay. But I didn’t mean to. Sorry, I don’t know where that came from it just kinda happened…”Dean’s shoudlers relaxed with empathy then he sat down next to you, tugging the blanket down and away from your face.“Is that how you see me?” he asked.“I guess…” you admitted, “I don’t know. You did kinda raise me and Sammy…”“What about Dad?” You shot your brother a look and he nodded in understanding.“Sorry…I guess I just see you as more of a father figure.” you huffed.“Hey, no.
