Finally got around to finish this~ Tweaked it today after doing most of the work yesterday. In an 8 hour stream…!! (idk what happened, I just didn’t get tired and wanted to keep drawing) I’m pretty happy with it, and I like it a lot now after struggling with the face for awhile, but loving everything else ^^’I’ve drawn Melany’s bad end before a whiiile back, but this one time I needed to lie down and rest on the couch with some music in my ears, I chilled while just thinking further about it and ended up with this image in my head~ I knew I needed to draw it, but I didn’t want to use my usual style, which probably made me have a hard time getting started at certain stages, but here we are!So, here, she’s been dragged into drow society as a pawn now, forced to use her warlock powers to fight for them, and of ‘cause she’s been dressed in spider imagery to remind her of her place. A big spider tattoo on the side of her head where she had Eilistraee’s symbol in her sidecut, spider earring where her earring with a demigod’s tooth were, spiderweb jewellery in her hair… I imagine a short spider-themed necklace that wouldn’t be visible here.Her haircut is a bastardisation of her first haircut that was wild and free, but now tamed and straightened. Of course you gotta have the cut off elf ear tips (maybe I should have cut off more honestly), only full drow get to bear such elven features. The scars on her arms are from a fun little game the drows discovered of cutting the arms (and legs and fingers) off and letting her sit in pain for a bit before letting her reattach them with her powers from being a warlock of The Undying patron~ (I can’t wait 'til she gets that power, but it’ll be foreeever…) You get to break the half-drow disgrace AND keep her a functional weapon!?!? amazingWas thinking of adding her corrupted ghost familiar in the background, but I didn’t wanna screw too much with what I had going on.
