The HuntersFlint tools were found at La Cotte de St. Brelade, but the nearest site where flint is available would have been 20km to the north, on the other side of the Ay river. This sequence shows a trio of Neanderthals making the trip to the flint “quarry”, sometime in the later part of the Saalian/early Eemian. Fauna depicted are the giant deer, Megaloceros giganteus and the European robin, Erithacus rubecula.Ink & markers, Oct-Nov 2016 -- source link
