youroldragdoll: Yesterday I found this colony of ground living ( burrowing ) insects. They look like some form of Bees or Wasps. There are thousands of these little mounds of dirt that look a little like ant hills with a hole near the top of the mound in an area of about 10 X 20 meters. I saw at least one of the insects go down the hole, maybe a few down a few holes. They are shy wanting to get away from me, making it difficult to get the pictures I got.@waspappreciation Mining bees! So cute -- source link
